New work to be finished before the opening on the 1st August 2019 at Linton and Kay Galleries. The exhibition called 'Rediscovered' will feature landscapes from memory, sketches and photographs taken and collected. The landscapes give a window to escape, remember and imagine.

Excited to have relocated to NYC ahead of my solo exhibition 'Merging Landscapes' Been busy getting the work re-stretched and varnished in time for the opening night on Thursday 5th October.

Art work

On the 5th of October 2017 I have been invited to show my latest body of work - Merging Landscapes. Two years in the making from my last show at Linton and Kay I have investigated the triggers that evoke emotion and sense of place. Wanting to create a series of sublime ambiguous landscapes that pause time.

Jacinda In Studio

Two new works are now exhibited at Anderson Contemporary NYC until the end of August.

Great to be involved in the latest exhibition at the Studio Gallery in Yallingup WA. It was a great night at PSAS Fremantle for Pecha Kucha. Pecha Kucha is Japanese for Chitchat. It is an organised event where creatives come together and each presenter speaks while 20 slides show for 20secs each. I found it a rewarding challenge and discussed what it means to me to be a real artist. I will post the video up on Facebook when it comes available.

Thank you to all of you that showed up to the open studios. It was a great chance to talk to everyone and their response to my new work.

As part of the 2013 Fremantle Festival, we will be opening our studio doors to the public between 5 and 8 pm on 1st to 3rd November (Fri-Sun). Visit me at my new studio (#21) PSAS Fremantle It has been some time since I have seen you all, so it would be great if you can make it along to see some of my recent work, including: - Black Swan Heritage Prize Finalist - Hidden Danger - Works inspired from my visit to China in as part of The City of Perth Artist Exchange Residency. - New painting from Mowanjum Aboriginal Community Project in the Kimberley (2013) - Selection of watercolours and small oil on board

The Black Swan Prize has its Award night tonight. My work 'Hidden Danger' made it into the finalist for the Heritage award. The beautiful Swan and Canning rivers flow through the heart of metropolitan Perth. It is hard to believe that in 2012 11 Tones if rubbish was pulled out of the swan river. Most disturbing is the mass of plastic bags and fishing line that continues to be found, despite people knowing the terrible impacts these items have on river wildlife from pelicans to dolphins. In my work I like to look beneath the surface of the water and in this work "Hidden Danger" I wanted to show the beauty of the Swan River but also what is happening beneath its surface. It is important we look at how we treat the river and how we can save it for the future.

It was a beautiful warm night in Singapore for the naming Ceremony of the Ship "Go Phoenix" Two of my works were purchased for gifts to celebrate.

Ship Naming Ceremony

I am back!!! What an amazing trip. The True North was an unbelievable experience and I think all the guests onboard enjoyed seeing an artist at work. Some of them gave painting a go themselves and we auctioned off some of the watercolours and I donated a painting to raise money for the True North Charity which is to help the children of Papua New Guinea. We raised around $1200 which was brilliant. I painted around 50 watercolours and sketches and took a million photos. I am now posting a video diary of each of the days on the trip on my facebook which you can click on my home page. I am now extremely busy in my studio and can not wait to see it all come together in September in my solo show. Thank you so much to the True North and the fabulous guests, staff and the majestic Kimberley that made my trip an experience I will not forget.

Well the time has arrived and I am packing for my Kimberley adventure onboard the True North. I have plenty of drawing and painting materials and have extra for anyone onboard that may want to have a go. The opening of the 9 x 5 exhibtion went great with all of my work sellling on the opening night. A lot of people showed up considering the weather was so rough that part of the fremantle bridge was closed of due to roof tiles flying off one of the buildings. The Hale art show during the weekend attracted some wonderful work by local artists and the opening night was most enjoyable. Currently I am working in my studio in Fremantle continuing with images inspired by my trip to the Northern Territory in April and a Mirvac commission of Leighton beach. In September I will be heading to the Pilbara and Kimberleys on a painting trip which I am very excited about and I am looking for a space for my next solo exhibition so I will let all know when that is finalised. I have returned from my trip to the Northern Territory where I was overwhelmed by the scenery. I sat out in the heat a created many watercolours painting from sunrise to sunset capturing the amazing colours. I was lucky to meet another artist on my travels and we shared our visual experiences as we sat and sketched. I was able to see this incredible land from the sky also as I was able to take a helicopter ride over Aryers Rock and the Olgas. I then travelled to Kings Canyon, Glen Helen, Gosse Bluff, Ormiston Gorge, Finke River to Palm Valley and travel along the spectacular Western MacDonnell Ranges. I have now come back and rearing to get into the studio to get all my ideas on to canvas. It will have to wait till Monday though as I now travel to Dunsborough for my Exhibition at ZinZan Gallery in Dunsborough.

ayers rock.jpg

I have finished my Broome pieces and they will be exhibited along with some of my work from Italy and Margaret River at my Solo show "Art By Jacinda" at Zin Zan Gallery in Dunsborough. On Monday I delivered one of my Broome works ("Anastasias Pool" pictured right) to the Mandjar Art Awards The awards are to be held at the Mandurah performing Arts centre. Anastasias pool.jpg

As I progress with the Broome series that seems to be evolving and growing. I have Booked a trip to the Northern Territory. This Trip is planned for April so I should have finished my Broome series by then. I can't wait to capture the Red Centre on canvas. I am also currently working on a commission for Mirvac's Leighton Beach Development. There will be 8 works in total depicting various images of Leighton Beach. This is a wonderful project for me as I have total freedom to express in paint a place I relax and swim at often. Late last year I completed a commission for a Cottesloe family for their beautiful home where they asked me to do an outdoor work. It was to reflect the design of the house while incorporating the feel of Cottesloe beach. The works were to be positioned outside over their swimming pool. (See attached photo) I was so pleased with the end result and the clients were happy to.

Still working on my broome series. Working on the rock formations of Gantheume Point and the camels on Cabel beach at sunset. I was awarded Highly Commended in the Vasse Art Award and some of my work is also at Margaret River in the Jahroc gallery.

I have returned form a short but enjoyable trip down south delivering the work "Treetop Walk Walpole" to the Vasse School for the annual Art show which opens on the 13th January. I managed to get some fabulous ideas for some new work also. I am still currently working on my Broome series where I have finished 2 works and put them in the painting gallery for your viewing. Also I am enjoying being back in Fremantle where I have settled into my new studio.

Treetop Walk Walpole

Happy New Year!! I have now moved to my new Studio in the Old Customs House in Fremantle on Phillimore Street. I am still currently working on a series of 6 paintings that were inspired from my recent trip to Broome. Portraying the heat and colour of the North West Landscape has proved to be most enjoyable. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to view any of my work. I am heading down South this Weekend to Vasse where I have entered an Art show there that opens on the 13th January.

Broome was absolutley fantastic! The bright Pindan red against the blue waters was inspiring. It took me no time at all to pick up the brushes and pencils as start sketching and painting. I hired a car and drove to several places around broome and painted for 3 days. The weather proved a little hectic as the heat was around 35 to 40 degrees but I found it all to be part of the experience. I am now back in Perth with many sketches and photos and full of inspiration. I have started 2 works aready and plan at least 6 in the series. I was particually taken with Gantheaume Point and the Mangroves which are the subject of my first 2 works.

I had a wonderful weekend out at the Swan Valley yesterday with a painting group. We started at 9.30am and started by meeting each other and talking about what we wanted to achieve and what we would like to get out of the day. We then headed off with all our paints and came back together for lunch to to regroup and and have much needed refreshments. It was a great day spent speaking about our art and trying to get out of our comfort zones. This Saturday I fly to Broome for a painting trip for 4 days so will keeep you all in touch with how it goes.

I was also involved in the Mandurah 9 x 5 Art Auction that was to help raise money for the Mandjar Art awards held every year. The night was a huge success with artists donating their work on the 9 x 5cm sized canvas or board. I was one of the 20 Artists whose work was framed and Autioned on the night. The Mandurah Arts Centre raised over $14000 making it thier most successful Auction to date.
